PS3 music video service VidZone becomes VidZone TV today with an update creating 100 music TV channels.
VidZone's 3 million plus users will be able to simply select a music channel based on artist, genre, year, label or 'general' and generate a pre-selected playlist.
The original VidZone service will be re-named VidZone On Demand and run alongside VidZone TV.
The VidZone update will also contain a fresh main menu carousel, improved search functionality and the ability to shop for selected PlayStation Store items from the VidZone application itself.
VidZone Digital Media's director of content and marketing, Louisa Jackson, said: "With high production content delivered to the biggest screen in your house, VidZone offers new and unlimited linear music channels and choice with all the benefits of interactivity."
"From tested favourites to taking a chance on something new, VidZone now has everything from Chart TV, world exclusives, premieres of music videos to artist interviews, behind the scenes and music sessions, all of which is free to the consumer."
VidZone is downloadable from the PlayStation Store, after which it appears under the music icon on the PS3's XMB interface.
This sounds like a great idea, and is much welcome. But if I keep getting those sh**ty adverts, that I cant get rid off, I'm gonna go mental? Who the f**k wants monster hunter tri shoved in their face?
