I would rather that if footage is being used then it should be the Developer/Publisher who authorises it.
The footage in question has caused a sh*t storm on the official Alan Wake Forum, with the thread being over 600 comments (Friggin' HUGE for that suite) long already.
Game journalism has gradually got worse and worse over the years (Hip Hop Gamer!) and I dont think its going to get any better anytime soon.
Ill be going on a media blackout in the weeks running up to Wake, dont fancy having the Game ruined by some shady site trying to garner hits, with videos or headlines.
Agree with 'Monkey, and I didn't watch the video in question. Why would you want to watch a poor quality video of the opening minutes of a game that you're looking forward to??
Just wait for the game and enjoy it on a nice big HDTV with a decent surround sound setup

I blame the Tinternet!!!
I'm going away on the 11th of June, so the last thing I need is volcanic ash AND a s**tstorm!
I don't have a problem with videos being shown online even if they lack the HD quality of the finished product. Then again I possess the mental fortitude to consider the possibility that the end product may look different (be it for better or worse). Apparently this attribute does not apply to all people (and I'm guessing a lot of them fall in to the younger gamer age groups).
What I do take issue with are gaming journalists, etc. releasing unauthorized video clips of a game. It's underhanded, common, and possibly criminal as well. If a journalist/publication ever did that to me I'd seriously consider never giving them the time of day again on all future projects.
