Blacklight Tango Down co-op announced

Ignition releases new screens
Ignition Entertainment's announced a co-op mode for Blacklight: Tango Down from Zombie Studios and released some new screens.

The game has been dubbed a digital download of AAA quality, albeit by the developer itself, with the main selling point being a solid next gen FPS experience at a fraction of the price of the likes of Modern Warfare and Bad Company.

"With Blacklight: Tango Down, we are raising the bar for what gamers can expect from DLC, with the kind of experience that traditionally is found in AAA retail game," said Ajay Chadha, president of worldwide publishing at Ignition Entertainment.

The cooperative elements of Blacklight have been detailed further with the 'Black Ops' mode where four players will work together as the elite Blacklight faction.

Chadha said: "Cooperative play is a critical part of today's multiplayer experience, and Blacklight: Tango Down will deliver on this fun and dramatic way to play alongside three of your friends."

"This kind of elite content is what separates Blacklight: Tango Down from other DLC and makes it the most fully featured downloadable-only shooter available on any console or PC."

In such a competitive area of the market though, can Blacklight: Tango Down really have any impact on the FPS genre?

Shame about not having modtools or dedicated server for PCs, huh? Not so featured for PC at all, just another derivative game.
