Square Enix says that people will be "shocked and stoked" at a new as-yet-unrevealed new game that it's currently working on.

Posting on Twitter, a Square rep said: "Oh and working on stuff for an unannounced game. Think people are going to be shocked and stoked :)."

Obviously there's no hint as to what it could be, but it might have something to do with the new "Action RPG title coming out for Japan PSN" which is apparently coming "very soon", as Square teased a couple of weeks ago. Or it might not.

We'll be keeping a close eye on this one.

It wouldn't surprise me if this was true, which would take away the "shocked" aspect of their statement.
If this is the case it would really p**s me off, which takes away the "stoked" aspect of their statement.

They have already said that they are not going to remake FF VII unless they know that it will only take a year at most to make.

Yea I wouldn't be shocked if it was a ff7 remake as we hear about this and most people are expecting it. In my opinion I wish they'd just leave FF7 alone I don't think its worth a remake although it was good.

As for this game I do have high hopes as I'm a big fan of square enix so hopefully it'll live up to what their saying about it

As it would appear that the new title is an Action RPG, I would have thought that this probably isn't the (almost inevitable) FFVII remake - unless they were to change the dynamics of the game considerably - which would probably infuriate all the people who are crying out for the game to be made.

Maybe a new game in the Mana franchise?

Final Fantasy VII remake!?!

I'd be happy with this, given that I never played the original, but it wouldn't fit the PR spin. Then again, games hardly ever fit the PR spin.
