LittleBigPlanet 2 leaked (again)

Music producer lets slip on unnanounced sequel
Sony seems to be having a hard time concealing the apparently inevitable arrival of LittleBigPlanet 2 as the game is name-dropped again, this time by a music producer.

Probably much to Sony's distress, Electronic musician Christopher Leary slapped on his Twitter account recently: "Pleased to announce the licensing of 'Infotain Me' to Sony for Little Big Planet 2 on PS3." Whoops.

It seems Sony's already sent out the helicopters because said Twitter post is no longer live, which certainly raises an eyebrow.

The much-rumoured sequel was most significantly
leaked when Dutch PlayStation marketing man Folkert Langeveld said the PS Move controller would create "new gameplay experiences for new games" such as "Socom and LittleBigPlanet 2".

Sequel confirmed then? Nope, said an SCEE rep, who told CVG: "We do not have any announcements to make about the LittleBigPlanet franchise."

All eyes on E3, we reckon.

Media Molecule said there would be no second LittleBigPlanet.. I'm sticking with them over this..

But, lets see, how would a second LBP fit in?

LBP 1 had no real story to it, what would they really be adding in a second iteration?

Everything is already there in LBP 1. Everyone has the game.. Making a second would split the whole community..

of course its coming, but I would rather find out from a big announced than a stupid twitter post, this guy has just ruined a major release ( along with other people) . if you don't understand what I mean its like your friend telling you about the ending of the film you want to see for yourself , be unexpected.

i just hope that we can access all the amazing levels from LBP1. theres so many out there..

im guessing lbp2 will come. but i think there will b minor changes, a whole new set of story levels, some new tools and some new ways to build levels for ppl who arent very hardcore.

oh and new interface and menus, and better rating system.. cos casual players dont know how to find the good levels now. whining on internet over MM not making more levels when theres 1000s that are on par or even better out there, tells u that the system didnt work very well.

Just due to the fact that this game could release on a console with a larger audience now is reason alone for a sequel to be released. But I'd want something along the lines of an Uncharted 2 style sequel; where what worked is improved and what didn't is improved ten fold. For it to be a sucess it'll need to differ from the original so to move the original user base to the new title. And having a proper non-patronising story could also help Very Happy. What shouldn't happen is what Rare did with Viva Pinata Trouble in Paradise in which nothing substantial changed and the same problems remained...too hard. Considering that it is Media Molocule; a team who seem to know how to make something awesome it should be fine Smile

I'm hoping, and it could well be, that this is just going to be an iteration of LBP with loads of stuff incorporated for move to interact with, which I thought the examples looked crap anyway seeing as LBP is a physics and material based game, doesn't make sense to eff it up.

i reckon they should give sackboy a flamethrower...!
lol naa seriously, how about a big online world...? 1000+ sackboys? I could see some problems with it, but Wow!!

3D Little Big Planet please, not a 3D glasses version but a Mario 64 kinda template. That would be awesome.

I couldnt wait until doing my own meadows/bomb style level LaughingLaughingLaughing

3D is the only way I can see a sequel been made.
I mean you can add everything else to LBP with DLC.
