Microsoft product director Aaron Greenberg - the man Sony fanboys love to hate - has congratulated Xbox's rival on PS3's US software sales in March, which were revealed in last night's NPD data.
Writing on Twitter, Greenberg congratulated Patrick Seybold, senior director of corporate communications for SCEA, on PS3's strong software sales in March.
He posted: '...another strong month, solid #2 on HW sales and growing again YOY. Kudos to @seybold for some strong SW sales.'

You lost a couple of points by not adding a mention of the 'untapped potential of the Cell' - if you were to replace some of the letters with numbers, or threw in some reference to Halo being in some way homosexual, that would have also gained you more points.

I do support the eradication of the xbox360 but not the ps3, why? because the ps3 has never limited the quality of pc games and it definitely would not be a benefit to gaming because we would never have got to have played great games like heavy rain, killzone 2, God of war 3 and in the near future gran turismo 5. Now you might say that without the xbox360 we would have never have been able to play games like Halo or Mass effect, but i don't consider any of those games to be of any quality, Halo sucked major balls and Mass Effect was held back by the xbox360.

You are entitled to your own point of view (which I disagree with incidentally). Your claim that Halo and ME were sub-par quality wise is one that I question. I played Halo on the PC and enjoyed it. I also played ME on the PC (which got an updated and superior version compared to the original release on the Xbox 360) and enjoyed it tremendously as well. Using those two examples of why the Xbox 360 hampers the PC fail spectacularly.

I do support the eradication of the xbox360 but not the ps3, why? because the ps3 has never limited the quality of pc games and it definitely would not be a benefit to gaming because we would never have got to have played great games like heavy rain, killzone 2, God of war 3 and in the near future gran turismo 5. Now you might say that without the xbox360 we would have never have been able to play games like Halo or Mass effect, but i don't consider any of those games to be of any quality, Halo sucked major balls and Mass Effect was held back by the xbox360.
You are entitled to your own point of view (which I disagree with incidentally). Your claim that Halo and ME were sub-par quality wise is one that I question. I played Halo on the PC and enjoyed it. I also played ME on the PC (which got an updated and superior version compared to the original release on the Xbox 360) and enjoyed it tremendously as well. Using those two examples of why the Xbox 360 hampers the PC fail spectacularly.
Seems to me you have a sizable case of sour grapes. Especially since this article is about an MS representative congratulating a Sony representative on Sony's PS software sales.

I didn't feel the need to respond to your last post because I would be repeating myself. You say that my arguments are based off of my personal opinion but by reading your last post and going throw your post history are you not guilty of the same crime?, or do you consider your rantings to be irrefutable fact?

Why do people not realise that either Microsoft or Sony backing out of the console scene would be tremendously bad for the whole gaming world? If Xbox did get 'eradicated', and MS decided not to bother making a third console, Sony would essentially have a monopoly on the powerhouse consoles - it would be the only one on the market. And that's when Sony could ROYALLY take the p*ss - huge peripheral costs, sub par games, the works. Competition is good!
Was it Sony that made Heavy Rain great? Or was that Quantic Dream? Was it Sony that made Killzone 2 great? Or was that Guerilla Games? These games would have been just fine without Sony...

The gaming world world needs competition or things would quickly stagnate.
Xbox is not to the detriment of pc or playstation.The 360 is a quality machine and a few sony fanboys will just never accept that.Just play the games and try and get along(Never happen but you never know).
I wonder if the majority of people understand that the people who work at MS are pretty good friends with the people who work at Sony. None of the smack talking is personal, its either an injoke or just propaganda that websites latch on to. So its hardly surprising when someone comes out and says 'Good Job' to the otherside. And also lots of great titles from the Sony studio's. So Sony pretty much behaved all that time. You might give them the benefit of the doubt.
Sony fans wont be able to use the "potential of the cell" comment anymore as Xbox fans will point out that "The Cell" was released on Friday and was Xbox exclusive!
I think we need to apply some impartiality here as the fanboys are taking control of this board (particularly those Xbox 360 parasites like Dorian).

When Halo 3 first came out i was a little dissapoointed because i didn't have live. The real improvements came in the months and years after the realease, which made it my online game of choice. I thought ODST was decent but overhyped, still a great game for something they only had a year on

'Pretty much a monopoloy' and a monoploy are two different things. Besides, Sony would have to have been utter imbeciles to price hike things in their first foray into the console world. They did an excellent job of gaining a foothold - something which wouldn't have happened had they charged over the odds for games et al.
As for the PS2, that had competition for the Xbox and Gamecube. Neither may have been great competition (though I did love the 'cube back then), but it was competition nonetheless.

Don't get me wrong, I'm hoping Halo Reach will reignite the franchise as Halo Combat Evolved is still one of my all time favourite games (up there with Mario 64, Final Fantasy 7 and Thunder Force 4).
I hope the campaign is longer (10 hours isnt too much to ask) and features iron sights, next gen graphics, return to Phantoms etc etc etc etc ... ahk, I just hope they make it better although there'll be no doubt about its sales and only GT5 or the next COD will be able to match them.

Fair enough, but it kind of defeats the purpose if you act like a fanboy yourself. It's just another status quo.
