Infinity Ward community manager Robert Bowling has revealed that the first batch of Modern Warfare 2 downloadable content will be making its way to PS3 and PC early next month.
"The Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package DLC will hit PS3 in North America on May 4th, everywhere else May 5th," Bowling said via Twitter. "PC gets it worldwide on May 4th.
The DLC - which features five maps, including two from the original Modern Warfare - launched on Xbox 360 late last month and went on to shatter the online service's download records.
Over one million gamers snapped the map pack up on the day of its release, and more than 2.5 million did so during its first week of availability, netting publisher Activision a tidy sum.
There are no details on the DLC's PS3 and PC pricing yet, but expect it to fall in line with the £10.20ish it costs on 360.

doeesnt bother me they aint getting one more penny off me for a game which let me down, i aint a fan of the new online maps as it is so i aint wasting money on more bad maps bar the 2 from the original

Don't get yer hopes up, the new maps aren't worth writing home about, and the old ones are pretty much the same as they were in COD4, with a few (very) minor tweaks. Not at all worth ten quid.
I remember getting PC mags with coverdisks with loads of maps for Quake. There used to be a few regular guys who made some excellent maps. Quake 3 Arena had some great versions of The Edge from Quake 2 remade
I still have a couple of maps I created on my harddrive somewhere too.
Sooooo it that definite that there will be a price for the PC DLC then?
Won't surprise me but it does sadden me. It will be interesting to see how many PC players do pony up the cash though as we tend not to be a breed that condones that sorta thing.

COD MW2 has to be one of the most over rated games ever - it's not a bad game, but its not brilliant either - and yes, the online game is full of the same old sh1t.

Troll... Why bother trying to take the p**s out of someone just becuase they like MW2. If they like it, its up to them - statments like that are written by utter tossers.
Its costing me Ł2.50 you muppet, going split between 4 of us. And besides Overgrown is worth Ł10 on its own.
To many MW2 Hating trolls in this place. If you don't like it then thats up 2 u. But there are millions and millions of players around the world then enjoy it.
