Crytek working with Natal, Move and 3D

CryEngine confirmed to support motion control and 3D
Crytek's CEO has confirmed that the studio is 'working very closely with Move and Natal'.

Speaking to Develop, boss Cevat Yerli said Crytek was, "working very closely with Sony and Microsoft in regards to motion control on both the PS3 and Xbox 360."

Crytek's Global business development manager, Carl Jones, also took the time to talk up 3D technology.

Jones told Develop that the studio is taking 3D "very seriously" saying, "It certainly adds a lot to a number of games. Depth perception in an FPS really changes the game and makes it a lot more enjoyable."

"I think people are starting to wake up and take notice that 3D is on its way, it's not long before developers are taking advantage of it."

i want to see how they use it with natal, and not have it just waving your hands in the air like a muppet, maybe the interface could come up with a touch screen..to pick items?

This could be a lot of fun when combined with their physics engine.

not really interested.... in either the game nor what is being brought to it by these "ground breaking controls".... is it just me or are a lot of gamers really uninterested in this move towards motion detection??? im not saying it shouldnt be done at the same time tho, just really isnt my cup of tea at all.. maybe ill be proved wrong. probably will....

I think 3D can be useful in games, for greater depth etc but as for the motion detecting stuff its going to be hit and miss I feel? When I was a kid playing war games etc in the back garden it always felt more immersive (from memory at least) when you had something to hold onto be it a stick or a toy gun.

It is my perception that the 360 and the PS3 appeal to a different gamer than that of the Wii - has microsoft and sony answered a question that wasn't being asked by the more hardcore gamer?

all motion controlers all involve making a t**t out of yourself, however netal is the only one that forces you do. and thus is not a gimmic as much as the others. hey lets do wii fit, oh wait i can sit in one place or spend and extra Ł50 on a board ect. Evil or Very Mad
