Mario tops Japanese chart

Nintendo's plumber climbs back up the sales ladder
New Super Mario Bros. Wii climbed back to the top of the Japanese software chart last week with 37,000 sales.

It was a close-run thing though - Fist Of The North Star held second place with 34,000 sales, followed by the PSP and PS3 versions of Pro Baseball Spirits 2010, which both moved 31,000 units.

There were no new entries in the weekly top ten. Hardware sales will be published tomorrow.

A few years ago I would have hailed NSMB Wii as the greatest game ever.

A few years ago such was my fanboyism that I almost bought the Mario Dance game.
