New Dragon Quest coming to Wii

Square-Enix is set to release another Dragon Quest game on a Nintendo platform.

Following on from the release of Dragon Quest IX on DS, the company has announced that Dragon Quest Monsters Battle Road Victory will be coming to Wii.

It's based on the Dragon Quest Monsters Battle Road Legend, a sequel to the original arcade game which was released in Japan last year.

Dragon Quest Monsters Battle Road is a card-based arcade game which sees players using actual cards to summon Dragon Quest monsters into battle.

In the Wii version, you'll be able to compete in four player battles and get involved in online battles via Wi-Fi. Tournament Mode has you collecting cards while taking on a number of characters in a town.

Dragon Quest Monsters Battle Road Victory will be released in Japan this summer. We've contacted Square Enix to find out UK plans.

don't forget dq X was announced as a wii exclusive back in 2008 as well.

it's a good fit. leave FF to the hd consoles and the more stylised game to the wii.
