Nintendo downloads: Mega Man 4

This week's downloads revealed
Finished Mega Man 10 yet? You can get another fix of Mega Man action of Virtual Console tomorrow by downloading Mega Man 4.

The old NES game is one of seven new downloads available in the Wii and DS stores on Friday.

Here are the details:

Mega Man 4 (Virtual Console: Capcom, 500 Wii Points) was originally released for NES in 1992. It was pretty similar to its platforming predecessors, although players got the opportunity to charge up their shots for the first time.

The action takes place a year after the destruction of Gamma and Dr. Wily's defeat at the hands of Mega Man. This time the Man is in a battle with Dr. Cossack who plans to eliminate Mega Man to prove himself to be the greatest robot designer of all time.

Rage of the Gladiator (WiiWare: Ghostfire, 1000 Wii Points) has been described by ONM as Punch-Out with Minotaurs. It's a fantasy fighting game starring mythical beasts and human enemies. Each boss has its own personality but you'll be able to take them out by summoning a fiery meteor, a savage tornado, or by transforming into a hulking colossus ten times your size. It supports Wii MotionPlus.

Bloons (WiiWare: Hands-On Mobile, 500 Wii Points) is a puzzle game which sees players popping ballons with darts. Each of the 70 levels features a different arrangement of balloons and you can build your own puzzles with a level editor.

Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs - Fight For Survival (DSiWare: Ubisoft, 800 Nintendo DSi Points) puts you in charge of one of three breeds of dinosaurs. It's a fight for survival as you travel through hostile lands and fight giant enemies to save your species.

Mr. Driller: Drill Till You Drop (DSiWare: Namco Bandai, 500 DSi Points) is another game in the classic Namco series. There are three different game modes and over 40 stages of non-stop drilling action. Mission mode has you digging in various locations with deeper and more challenging goals, you can race against the clock in Time Attack mode, or drill through a labyrinth of stones to collect the rare and precious Dristones in the DSi-exclusive Dristone mode.

System Flaw: Recruit (DSiWare: Enjoy Gaming, 500 Nintendo DSi Points) looks quite interesting as it uses the DSi camera to turn your surroundings into a playing environment for blasting enemies.

Finally there's Pocket Pack Words & Numbers(DSiWare: Mere Mortals, 500 DSi Points), a collection of popular word and number games. You can choose from a variety of games such as Anagrams, Sudoku, Kakuro, Word Cubes and Word Guess.

That's all for this week. Are you tempted to download any of these?
