Knights of the old republic or if my prayers have been answered Oddworld.
I was thinking the same thing myself with Oddworld. I'm sure that with current technologies you could make an awesome open world game from that franchise.
It of course also be the confirmation of the Syndicate remake...
I think it might be a Conker game but would absolutley love another proper KOTOR, Bioware may be awesome, but theres no chance in hell im paying monthly for some MMO when i can play the awesome originals

Only if it is a follow on from the first set of games. I loved the 2D puzzle platformer but then it went all strange.
Also I agree with one of the above posts that JSR would be a very welcome return.
It would be nice to get a ressucitation of any of those old speccy titles, but face it they aren't going to big up something only UK gamers have ever heard of (just take a look at the US-friendly selection in Gamesroom).
Having said that with Lionhead and Rare onside you never know...
Exclusive? It's bound to be something from someone like Rare. Killer Instinct?
It of course also be the confirmation of the Syndicate
I hope it's not just confirmation of something we've already heard about. I hate it when companies do that.
Syndicate, Dungeon Keeper et al would be great but a) I don't think Lionhead retain any rights to those Bullfrog franchises and b) RTS type games wouldn't be my first choice for an Xbox exclusive...

Or do they mean an Xbox/PC exclusive?
You're right - all those old Bullfrog games are owned by EA - but, it's still a possibility (if MS get their chequebook out). Plus, that would open up the chance to get Molyneux involved.
The thing about RTS games that could be interesting is Natal. However, it seems unlikely that we'd get info about any Natal game before E3, so I can't quite see it.
Populous... With Natal... Civilisation... Sim City... WING COMMANDER! DISCWORLD! Ultima? Eye of the Beholder... there's a good 'un... Dungeon Keeper... X-Com?
It's bet it's Hydro-Thunder. They picked up the license from when Midway went down. Then again no one knows what else they picked up from that stuff.
I hope it's not San Francisco 2049 Rush (Dev'd by Atari & Midway published). I loved that game to bits on DC and absolutely would not want it to be X360 exclusive - even if I do have a X360!
I'm hoping it's Sonic 4, Hydro Thunder / 2... I couldn't care less about these.
Please let it be Shenmue on Natal, how many people would buy that? I would buy two to help sales.
And imagine if the implementation of Natal screwed the game up?
What is it with people wanting current IPs to get sequels with motion controls? I would hate to have that happen to any of my favourite franchises. Natal and PS Move should focus on new and innovative IPs in order to showcase what they can do.
Odds on it'll be something by... SEGA, Midway, Valve, Lionhead, Treasure, RARE.
Plenty of scope there for a Saturn / DC game being brought back in a new guise. Burning Rangers? Virtual On? Panzer Dragoon? Ecco? SF 2049 Rush? Portal? L4D? HL Ep3? Magic Carpet? Theme Park (etc)? Portal? Radiant Silvergun? Killer Instinct?
@ BattleMoose. I agree.
Also, I'd imagine that Crytek's new project might be in with a shout (not TimeSplitters 4). See > http://www.develop-online.net/features/631/Crytek-Across-the-World

Hasn't Hydro-Thunder already been confirmed as a XBLA future release? EDIT:From the pages of Wikipediaphillia "In March 26, 2010, a sequel titled Hydro Thunder Hurricane was announced for Xbox Live Arcade.[4]"
I'm hoping for either Panzer Dragoon, Daytona or (and this ones the front runner) KOTOR 3. Still waiting for the conclusion to Revan's tale.

Maybe, but Crytek went multi-platform with Crysis 2 in order to maximise sales (and I reckon to recoup some of their investment in CryEngine 3). So I don't think it would be console exclusive when they have built a scalable engine that works well on PC, 360 and PS3.
Also, did anyone else hear that Free Radical (Crytek UK) are having a hand in Crysis 2's multiplayer?
The reason i think it may be shenmue ( other than incredibly wishful thinking ) is that they're implying that it's a returning title from last gen and hasn't yet made an appearance on the current gen console. many of the suggestions made so far have in some way or another had a release on the current gen, timesplitters for example.

In a double pack with "Ball in a Cup". Mexico's favorite toy for 340 years. (And yes i know Thing on a Spring was an old C64 game. It just sounds like a Slinky though)
Munches Odyssey and Strangers Wrath were both Xbox exclusives weren't they? Whoever said Oddworld went rubbish when the last game was Strangers Wrath needs a chippunk to the fizzog.
My money is on a new Oddworld game.
Would dearly love to see a return to Shenmue too though...
I want to see this game on this gen's consoles as much as you do, but I don't see any merit in making any Lucasarts game exclusive on any platform. They're all (well, for the most part) too good to be platform exclusive.
Well, anything from SE wouldn't be good. They've given the 360 a lot while ignoring other platforms. Knowing them, though, and how MS has been this gen so far (they love to get the franchises that got hugely popular on a Sony platform), I was actually thinking Kingdom Hearts 3 (though that's already been announced, I don't know if SE would be putting a gun to Nomura's head or a MS check or something). If that happens, expect everything to burn down.
Someone on N4G thought it could be Parasite Eve, as well. I don't think that would be good, either. Visuals of that particular franchise would make it an obvious PS3 exclusive, but I dunno.
I'm hoping it's KI3, though. MS really needs to resurrect some of it's own first parties, and Rare hasn't been doing anything lately. It's something that people (even some PS3 fanboys) have been wanting MS and Rare to resurrect for the 360. That would be a GOOD game announcement.
I'm just hoping it's not another one of these "this is a third party exclusive of a franchise that found its legs on a Sony platform that we bribed to come to the 360 with a blank check that'll spark an endless flame war that we'll laugh at all the way to the effing bank" thing. We all know what that has done to both PS3 fanboys and to MS's cred as someone that can actually come up with some in-house ideas. Not trying to sound like a fanboy, but I get sick of seeing MS think that's the only way to get anyone to buy their console.
Everyone's wrong! It's XCOM, the FPS. The other XCOM games must be turning in their graves. What a f**k up of a great franchise. Even worse, it's out in a few months.
Most of the games mentioned on this thread are not exactly 'classics' ..
Games like JSR, Panzer Dragoon, ChuChu Rocket etc are not classic games. They are cult games that have a following. And some games mentioned I wouldnt even call good games let alone classic.
Classic games are things like pacman, elite, mario, lemmings .. In other words genre defining games
If you read the quote it quite clearly states .. 'a gaming classic returns' .. Of course they may be hyping it up to the max and their defintion of the word 'classic' might be different ..
I wouldnt use the word classic lightly though, so I still think its going to be something like Elite, rather than some cult game not everybody knows about.
This'll be MS's s**tty version of Sony's crappy Socom announcement, everyone will get excited then a worldwide sigh will occur after everyone realises its a s**t game.
in todays gaming world its hard to get excited about anything...
X-com, eh? Another FPS, eh?? Well, I'm not amazed by the news but I won't instantly dismiss it. X-com hit rock bottom years ago with Interceptor and Enforcer and no matter what happens, it can't get be any worse than those games.
That said, you can buy all the X-com games off of Steam for about Ł8.
Anywho, here's hoping this can maybe, hopefully be special. Somehow.
