Pokémon Black & White screenshots out

Scans of new Pokémon appear on net
The first screenshots of Pokémon Black & White have appeared on the internet, via scans of a Japanese magazine.

The screens show the game's new battle system as well as the in-game overworld. It certainly looks a bit different, eh?

Pokémon Director Junichi has spoken of the new games on his blog, saying they are working to "enhance quality." They are both expected to be released in Japan this year.

I need to get this screen laminated.

Where are the new battle screens?

I don't like the new camera angle. Top down view or GTFO.

I don't like the look of the new battles as well for the record.

I'm disappointed they didn't wait a bit longer and release this for the 3DS. Two generations for one handheld is too much (plus we got the Gold and Silver remakes). People often say the pokemon series doesn't evolve enough (excuse the pun) and I feel another DS version could prove them right. At least the 3DS would give the game a graphical overhaul, if nothing else.

Gamefreak aren't even trying any more. This is supposed to be the next generation of Pokémon games. It looks exactly like the last gen.

I wonder if they're going to have a minecart section where you can't ride the minecart again.

Or if it's going to start with a field, then a town, then a field, then a cave, then a town aaaaaaaaaand so on and so forth.

Oh dear, you're one of those aren't you?

Regional hatred aside, it's nice that they're at least giving change a shot.
