Portal 2 screenshots and art arrives

First non-scan screens go online
The first non-scan Portal 2 screenshots (and more art) have appeared on the internet, showing the sequel's new decaying art style, which we like very much.

Valve's sequel is set "hundreds of years" after the original game and has our lady, Chell waking up in a devastated and overgrown Aperture Science lab, where singing nemesis GlaDOS once again puts her to work solving puzzles.

See more Portal 2 details elsewhere on the site, with probably more info arriving at E3 in June.

Check out all of the new artwork at Game Informer below.

Looks very good indeed! Is this still on the sorce engine? I'm loving the darker moodier look.

Maybe it still is the Source engine, IDK. Valve did say they created the engine in such a way it could be continouslly upgraded and added to.

Either way looks pretty good, bring it on Valve, oh and HL2: Ep3/HL3 sometime this century.

I think Valve will forever use the Source engine, albeit a constantly evolving one. That is until some crazy new revolutionary architecture forces software the world over to be completely rewritten.

Hundreds of years? Maybe after the HL2 story arc has come to an end?

100 years later?, how is Chell still alive?...
Still, if big boss can do it so can she.

Just need to say this makes me happy.
Also, greenery is nice. Smile
