Activision's new Spider-Man game has been revealed, via the screenshots and trailer you can see below.
Shattered Dimensions - as we already knew it was called - is set to include multiple Spidey dimensions including the two you can see here; Amazing era and the 1930s set Noir.
There's no release date yet, but we'll take a punt and say it'll be out this year.
okay looked up company that made this only thing they made other then where thing are wild is loads of ds and gamboy advance games
who thinks this will be good????
Well, Rocksteady had only made Urban Chaos before coming up with Arkham Asylum, so maybe we should give them the benefit of the doubt.
Then again, they will be working for Activision, who have never struck me as the type of company who'll let the dev take all the time they need to make the best game possible. Noir Spidey sounds great though.

Not sure really - it certainly looks as if they've been influenced by Arkham Asylum, which is a good sign.
I like the fact that they've used characters like Hammerhead and Kraven - I think it's better to not include the movie versions of the characters, that's been done to death. I'm not quite convinced by the different versions of Spiderman - why do we need to be constantly reminded that he has used different costumes over the years?....they all come back to the original blue and red suit, anyway.
As a guess, I'd expect the other two versions to be out of Spiderman 2099, Civil War Spiderman (red and gold suit) and Symbiote Spiderman.
I would kill for a Miguel O'Hara (Spider-man 2099 that was) game. It interesting they chose the recent Noir Spidey series as inspiration for this. I'm not holding my breath, but i'll keep an eye on it. Just hope they get the swinging back to the way it was in Spider-man 2. That would be a good start.

Yeah, I always liked Spiderman 2099 - mostly for Rick Leonardis artwork, but he was a good character and the costume was a great design.
I think web of shadows was very underated....it aint bad at all, and i think this looks great. I like the idea of playing spidey in different dimensions.....please one be spidey 2099.....

I've been thinking about picking it up at some point - I've certainly seen that a lot of people really did enjoy it and it's fairly cheap these days.

Definitely looks to be worth a punt.
I picked it up for a tenner and at that price I think its worth it. The game is fun and I love swinging through the city but its really really rough around the edges. If you can live with that its a decent game.

Sounds good to me.
I picked up The Bigs 2 yesterday for a fiver (I just fancied trying out a baseball game) and, I must admit, I had a really good laugh playing it. I love finding overlooked gems like that - Viking is another one of those, I don't know anyone else that bought it, but it's really good and ridiculously cheap these days.

They never should have stopped it. David's writing was spot on, and the whole Alchemax/Valhalla/Doom thing was the best idea Marvel have come up. I loved my 2099. /sob The recent reboot was awful. Why change what worked?
That said, I just ordered the hardback Spidey Noir off Book Depository. A bit expensive at £9.99 for 112 pages, but its a premium and I was going to get it eventually anyway.
I played a bit of Web of Shadows..i found it mostly meh. Funniest thing was the Wolverine quiz. Sadly i knew the answer to every question, but not everyone has been reading Marvel since they were 8. Kinda pointless.. I mean seriously, how many people know who the Beyonder is? Or who Carol Danvers used to work for.

Ah, the Beyonder - that's an era that I particularly like. I'll always remember a Powerman and Iron Fist Secret Wars 2 crossover with the Beyonder as a special guest....that comic was mental.
Also, I remember an issue of Avengers where the Beyonder fights Molecule Man - it has an orange cover (I think it was 266) and it has to be one of the very best comics I've ever read. Brilliant stuff.
I never really enjoyed Secret Wars...having read the Xmen issues with Rachel going a wee bit crazy kinda put me off. AoA was my personal favourite crossover. Actually anything with Blink is good.
Considering Molecule Man is making a come back...its likely we'll see the Beyonder again. Did you read the recent Iron Fist series? Pure unadulterated bliss. Now that would make a great game. Still need Hydra in a game. What Bendis and Hickman have done with Hydra and Shield in Secret Warriors was pure genius.

I've not really bought any comics since about '96. I keep up a little, but my collection got a bit out of hand and I had to put a stop to it - plus, the mid-nineties were a bit of an odd time for Marvel, as I'm sure you'll know. They do look as if they're producing some good stuff again these days.
The last real comic I bought was Giant Size X-Men 1 - I spotted it in this shop in Notting Hill and they had it priced at £5!
Would like to see Iron Spider-Man, but since he's parting the mainstream continuity, perhaps he won't be included. Spidey 2099 would be a good inclusion. Carnage Spidey might also be interesting.
I think the graphics look great. Not quite cell-shading but they still really pop.
I see this being received well by people who think they know things about Spider-man comics (by that I mean people who watched the films and that blatantly means they know everything) and comic book fans telling Activision to go f**k themselves
.... I don't remember that i said anything of the sort to Activision, and I know who Miles Warren is..so i think i know a wee bit about Spider-man.
edit: Scratch that, Slott is writing it. Activision can indeed go f**k themselves. As for Spider-man Unlimited...people actually liked that? Who knew....
