Weekly Xbox Live chart

Shooters dominate online play on 360, with Modern Warfare 2 on top
Major Nelson's released data showing weekly Xbox Live activity for the seven days ended April 4.

Shooters dominate the rankings, which are based on unique users, taking the first four positions.

Seeing as Modern Warfare 2's DLC shattered Xbox Live records following its recent launch, it's no surprise to see Infinity Ward's game sitting pretty at the top of the pile.

Microsoft said earlier today that Modern Warfare 2 players have invested more than 1.75 billion hours of gameplay on Xbox Live since the title's release in November, which is equal to more than 200,000 years of gameplay. Big numbers.

01. Modern Warfare 2
02. Halo 3
03. Battlefield Bad Co. 2
04. Call of Duty: WaW
05. FIFA 10
06. Call of Duty 4
07. Game Room
08. GTA IV
09. Gears of War 2

Why? If people are having fun and enjoying themselves, why is it depressing? Thousands of people are having a great time.

It's all quite new for a lot of people relatively speaking. I enjoy the odd fps from time to time. Mainly left 4 dead 1 and 2 as they are a little different to the usual fps out there. It's all about the cop-op for me. I have been playing fps games online since 97 so the main top games are rather samey to me. Smile

It's good to see all the kids still playing CoD and Halo, allowing us adults to enjoy a nice game of Battlefield without having to listen to them squeaky annoying little brats Very Happy

"It's good to see all the kids still playing CoD and Halo, allowing us adults to enjoy a nice game of Battlefield without having to listen to them squeaky annoying little brats"

so says the idiot who posts the above in a childish attempt to start some kind of flame war.

Some people enjoy CoD, some Halo 3, and some Battlefield...why don't you just play what you like and shut-up about everything else.
