Darksiders PC screenshots

Like the console version, but in higher res!
Following on from the official announcement, THQ's released the first screenshots for Darksiders on PC. Here you are then.

The game, which has you beating the cack out of demons as one of the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse, is being "meticulously crafted" for PC by original developer, Vigil Games, according to THQ.

The console version has been fairly well received. If you don't believe us, plonk your eyes on this Darksiders review.

Hi CVG,

Completely unrelated to the article, but I was wondering when the game 'The Ultra Fernandez Cousins' is coming out? I believe you had a preview of this game about 10 years ago in your magazine (I believe it was in the April edition). Looked really good (and a bit like Mario 64, odly) and was wondering if you had an update on this game? I never saw it in any other magazine, and no subsequent issues of CVG had any info on it.

Cheers,

Monty

A console port with higher res graphics and smoother framerate will do me fine.

The framerate chugs a bit on the ps3 version(especially on later levels).
I reckon on some points it drops to about 18fps which is terrible really.
I know it's a 360 port and all, but you expect better than that.

It'll be great if the pc version runs at a smooth 60fps.

Yeah now you mention it I remember a few to. That Ultra Hyper Fighter X game (or something like that) which had characters from Fighting vipers, Virtua Fighter and tekken in it. Sounded like the best fighter ever. Must have been cancelled...or delayed?
Did you ever get that Blood cheat to work for Mortal Kombat on the snes? The one which involved sticking a 1 penny coin on the cart to add to its weight? That never worked for me, nor did the naked lara croft cheat...not that I tried it...honest Embarassed #

Well anyway I will buy Darksiders if its a good port and cheap. Already played through it on PS3 but just rented it and as I really enjoyed it I would buy it on PC. Not paying more than £15 mind so maybe later in the year

I am still waiting for information on the mind control joystick that Sinclair User this time a couple of years ago revealed. They must be perfecting the tech before release, I guess. Maybe it will be Nintendos big unveiling at E3 this year.

Yeah, for some reason, the cheat for Mortal Combat never worked on my snes either. How strange! Perhaps CVG (or was it official nentendo magazine system?) couls shed some light as to why it wouldn't work? Very Happy

Not sure abt it being a port but I am sure that the framerate on the 360 version is terrible as well and b4 the patch the screen tearing made it unplayable. Wish they announced this earlier and I wouldnt have to deal with that crap.
