Hold tight. THQ has announced THE BIGGEST SEQUEL OF THE YEAR. Not really.
The publisher has, however, confirmed that Big Beach Sports 2 is coming to Wii. And, to be fair, the first wasn't the worst party game we've ever played.
The title's being developed by Jet Black Games, and will be released this summer.
It offers five new outdoor game offerings, traditional sports such as rugby, cricket and football. Not, Mr press release writer, 'soccer'. Wrong.
Players can also participate in competitions featuring surfing, canoe, water rocket and dune buggy races in either single player mode or through multiplayer challenges, going head to head with up to four players.
Additionally, players can use the Wii Balance Board to ride the waves for a full body surfing experience.

I'd love to see the Balance Board owners laying flat on their boards, paddling ridiculously hard for five seconds, then managing to stand up for two before crashing onto the floor and then having to wait ten minutes for another wave!
At the price of the Balance Board and game combined it would just be cheaper to drive to somewhere with an actual beach, rent an actual surfboard and actually try surfing. You could take a football or rugby ball with you too.
*Facepalm* More of this crap? Even for a casual players game the first one was one of the lowest rated games from all critics that reviewed it and lived to tell the tale.
