Super Yum Yum Review

The clever puzzler that does just enough
Making the leap over from various mobile phone platforms, Super Yum Yum is a clever puzzler that sees you guiding a Yoshi-esque lizard through a number of top down maps.

To clear each one, you have to eat every single piece of fruit scattered around the stage. Our long-tongued hero can only eat fruit that matches his current skin colour.

The colour of the fruit's leaves determines what shade he'll adopt after eating it. Later on you have to save various baby lizards too, to help you chow down on some of the larger fruits, and your tongue gets longer and longer as you progress, adding further strategic angles to proceedings.

Some dull boss fight mini-games and irritating sound effects provide the only real bum notes but by and large it's cute, original, very challenging and there's plenty of content to get your teeth into.

Though puzzle fans have plenty to get stuck into on DSIWare, this just about stands out.
