A "surprise Sony sequel" due to be revealed today will not be an Insomniac game, which blows Resistance 3 out of the water. Sorry chaps.
In a teaser for today's episode of GameTrailers TV was the promise of the first ever trailer for a "surprise Sony sequel", which has been widely speculated to be the third chapter in Insomniac's alien shooter.
But when asked if he knew which game was coming, Insomniac community man James Stevenson replied: "Yes - but it is not a game from Insomniac."
We're just hoping it's something a little more significant than PixelJunk Racers 2.
Since i got rid of my PS3 the main thing i miss is warhawk, a truly amazing fantastic game
Agreed and if a sequel is ever made it certainly doesn't need a single player campaingn. The online only aspect of Warhawk is it's main draw.
Time spent developing a ssingle player campaign would take time away from working on the multiplayer aspect. Plus I seem to recall that a single player campaign for the original Warhawk was pulled because it was complete crap.
I think it might be something completely different from everything else. Wouldnt there be some kind of Indication of what it would be, IF it was a sequal of an already Exclusive PS3 game? Sony are keeping there mouths well and truly shut at the moment, so it must be either something completely new, OR bringing back an old favourite from PS2/PS1, where noone would expect a comeback.
Personally I'm rooting for a new Sly Racoon, the second game was loads of fun and the third was incredibly inventive. Jak & Daxter would also be welcome provided they went back to their platforming roots.
man thats spooky cos i was gonna post that lol... would love to see a sequal, if tricky was put on the store id buy it like a shot!!! a sequal wouldnt be an exclusive tho cos of it being ea that owns it....
It won't be LBP2... the dev's already stated before that they didn't want to work on a sequel but wanted to release more DLC for the first, as a sequel would just split the community. Community and community created levels are pretty much at the core of LBP.
Come on anything Final Fantasy related. Although I doubt it will be. I reckon it will a PS2 series that hasn't been PS3-fied yet, but I don't know what exactly.
Battle arena Toshinden remake? I would love a good exclusive beat em up that hasn't been dumbed down for both consoles like the new tekken.
Sorry to say this gogo but the next Toshinden is going to be a "series reboot" Wii exclusive (read: "nothing like the original". I think it's out in Autumn.
