Eidos working on new Hitman game

Ian Livingstone says IO Interactive is working on a new game
It's been a while since the release of Hitman: Blood Money on PS2, PC and Xbox, which was quickly followed by a touch-up job on Xbox 360. But IO Interactive is now known to be working away on a brand new Hitman game. Hopefully for release this side of Christmas.

Speaking in a recent interview, Eidos 'life president' Ian Livingstone revealed, "It's being worked on, but there's been no announcement on the release date yet. We haven't even announced the game yet, so everything you hear about the next Hitman game is purely speculation at this point."

That'll be everything we hear except the fact that you just said it's being worked on then.

Livingstone only added that IO Interactive would again be developing the title. More on this at E3 hopefully. Check out some classic Hitman action below.

YES! Finally.

Brilliant! Just the news I wanted to hear, I was waiting for this 3 days after Blood Money was released on PS2.

The Hitman series is one of the very few that I go back to complete again and again.

Can't wait!

yes!!! awesome news! hitman has gotta be my fave game series ever. cant wait!! =D

Blood Money was also released on PC, CVG, along with, oh wait, every other Hitman game including the original which was a PC exclusive.

It really annoys me when these annoucements just completely ignore a certain platform, be it the PC, PS3 or Wii (see what I did there?).

Otherwise, great news. Blood Money was an excellent game.

Right on, JoWoo!

don't mean to nit pick jowoo but it clearly states pc after ps2.

It's not really nitpicking ravenor, since JoWoo's entire rant was baseless ;)

I really hope IO carry on and do this in the same style as Blood Money - a game I still enjoy replaying a level or two from every now and then.

Good news, played every one.Still waiting for something very special though.

Hitman is so cool,it needs a reinvention i think,i want much better graphics, much more variety in the gameplay. And stop leaving the suit on the ground to see, just ruins it.Next gen masterpiece in the waiting,if done correctly, fingers crossed.

loved the first one and then gradually became more disenchanted with the series as time went on. Hope it gets a proper update revamp to gameplay, style the whole shebang.

In other news, Thief 4s just been announced YAY!!!

To the pair of you, it might say PC now, but it didn't when it was originally posted.

I knew that would happen, and I'm glad it did.

What JoWoo said.

Sweet. It took Blood Money to get me into the series proper (I found the others less accessible, though I'm intending to go back to them), and I thought HM was excellent. I really want more.

can't wait for this, only in hitman game i could pour ether on woman's panties just to watch fbi agent fainting from sniffing them. classic

Really? Blood Money is my favorite in the series thus far. It had some incredible levels with great atmosphere. I loved the weapon customization as well. And I thought the ending was clever too.
