Red Dead Redemption screens

People of the west on show inside
Rockstar has released a new crop of screens for its western-themed Red Dead Redemption.

"The American frontier and its promise of freedom attracted people of all kinds: entrepreneurs and outlaws, priests and prostitutes, vagabonds and gentlemen," says the publisher.

"Some made a home for themselves on the land, some found wealth at the end of a mineshaft, and others died penniless and friendless, or at the end of a gun."

The detail is incredible, I was thinking GOTY also but its still pretty early in the year, lots of surprises left. This is definitely my most anticipated game by far.

call of juarez did not satisfy my inner cowboy, whereas this looks very promising. yee and indeed, haa!!

i love all these western style games and this looks amazing. the graphics style seems to really fit this gen of consol for some reason. the draw distance is huge as it was in coj.

looks great, from what i hear the missions do get a bit repititive tho so just hope there's lots of other things to do.

This looks really promising, I just hope it plays as well as it looks on the trailers and shots.

Could be the dark horse for this year! Would be typical of Rockstar though, little shouting about it and a large overnight success.

Says who?? There's only a select few that have actually been able to do a 'small' preview of the game. They've all had great opinions of it and not once ever mentioned repetition. Not a single person (unless u work at R*) has played thru the whole game. They've only had access to 2 maybe 3 missions.

If it plays as good as it looks on the downloadable gameplay videos then I'm there, outside the shop, on day one.
