Pokemon Heart Gold & Soul Silver review - 88% in Gamesmaster

Multiformat mag heaps praise on Nintendo's DS duo
GamesMaster has given its verdict on Nintendo's SoulSilver and HeartGold Pokemon games - awarding the pair a very favourable 88%.

The mag's in-depth two-page review says: '[They're] even a little more polished than Diamond & Pearl... Heart and Soul are definitely the best looking [Pokemon] adventures to date.'

The two titles are remakes of GameBoy Colour games Pokemon Gold and Silver.

'There are much more adventures than there were back then,' adds GM. 'Types, breeding, evolution, move sets and the depth of strategy involved has come on leaps and bounds.'

The mag's only criticism is that the Pokemon series is still moving 'forward in baby steps' - as it asks when it will get a full 3D console adventure.

So there you have it. If you're a fan, sounds like a must buy.

GamesMaster is with subscribers now, and out in shops tomorrow. Get it delivered to your door here.

Hehe, this game looks exactly like D/P, but with a game made nearly a decade ago. I'm glad that while Nintendo have creating innovations that have changed the gaming world like the control stick, the d-pad and motion control, Pokémon is still as stale as ever.
