MTV making Project Natal game

Microsoft confirms Rock Band parent is working with technology
Microsoft has confirmed that MTV, EA and Ubisoft have been working on software for Project Natal since June last year.

The news increases the possibility that a new Rock Band game - MTV and subsidiary Harmonix's flagship games product - will be compatible with the motion sensing device.

"We're actually really not sure what games will be available [for Natal] yet," said Erin Hofta from the US Xbox Development Team at a Natal event last night, according to Silicon Republic.

"EA, Ubisoft, MTV Games and our other major software partners have had the technology since June so it will be really interesting to see what they come up with."

MTV boss Scott Guthrie previously told
industry site MCV last year:

"The Harmonix development team are working on what is effectively the next game, or 'Rock Band 3'. We aren't standing still - we will keep moving into new areas and look at new technologies that our platform holder partners are also developing, such as Project Natal from Microsoft.

We're working with them to pull some things together. So it's pretty exciting time for the future of our music game business."

Do you reckon Rock Band can work with Natal, readers?
