Street Fighter IV iPhone - believe

Capcom confirms mobile fighter for March
Street Fighter IV is coming to the iPhone in March. What next?

Word is that this is no rush job though. IGN reports that Capcom has taken months to come up with suitable controls for a platform with no physical buttons, employing a virtual pad and move buttons to recreate the arcade stick right on the touchscreen. It had better work, is all we can say.

Capcom has used assets straight from the current-gen code, so the new art style is still present.

First shots below. More on IGN.

The way they've done the controls is very cool.

I wonder if the iPad helped influence the decision to port this! Just need a MadCatz or Hori Bluetooth controller now and then BAM!!!

Can't wait to see it.

Yeah its awesome how my thumbs will cover up a quarter of the screen, awesome how you hardly have any buttons and the controls are likely to be utter gash and also how all the gauges are squashed at the top. Can't wait for this!

looks like they've given it the same buttons as the remote/nunchuck config for tatsunoko vs capcom.

Still gives me hope that they might port SSFIV to the wii or PSP. if they can do it for the iphone why not.

Because it will go the same way as all 'core' games on the wii. No one will buy the damn game!

I agree. Until Apple put some physical buttons on the iPhone it will forever be a poor gaming device good only for playing fun little games while you wait for a bus etc. Playing this on anything other than a game pad will be horrible.
