Ex-President Clinton suffers heart pain, gets two stents An adviser to Bill Clinton says the former president has had two stents placed in one of his coronary arteries. The adviser, Douglas Band, says Clinton was admitted to New York Presbyterian Hospital on Thursday after experiencing chest discomfort. Band says that after seeing his heart doctor, Clinton underwent the procedure to place the stents in the artery. Band says Clinton is in good spirits. Clinton had quadruple bypass surgery in 2004 to open four blocked arteries.

Turning points for Bears The Bears don't need to look very hard for encouragement as they try to rebound from a 7-9 season in 2009. The Super Bowl-champion New Orleans Saints were in a similar situation a year ago. The Saints finished the 2008 season 8-8, losing three of their final five games to finish last in the NFC South, but they showed how quickly fortunes can turn.

Condo market shrank again Chicago's downtown condominium market shrank for the second straight year in 2009 as meager sales forced developers to put construction plans on hold, said a report released Thursday. Appraisal Research Counselors said 572 condo units sold downtown last year, the lowest number since the company began keeping track in 1997. It also said developers of 1,041 future units canceled construction plans during the year as several factors drove buyers from the market. They include job loss, inability to get a mortgage, or lack of confidence in condo valuations.
