No More Heroes 2 out April

Rising Star pins down Spring release for mental Wii exclusive
Rising Star's mental body-slamming, Lightsaber slashing sequel, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, will be out over here at the "end of April 2010", the publisher has confirmed.

If you played the first game you'll know what to expect - crazy cel-shaded graphics, retro-style pixelated HUDs, and the ability to slice people in half using bigger weapons and back-snapping wrestling techniques. All awesome.

I thought it was January 2010, which was JUST as I went back to uni and did exams.

Now it's at the end of April when I'll JUST be going back to uni and doing exams. God damnit Ubisoft.

Some interesting comments from Suda here on a potential NMH3...

You've made comments about the No More Heroes series continuing on a new platform. Do you expect to make a No More Heroes 3? And do you think No More Heroes 2 might eventually be rereleased on Xbox 360 like the original in Japan?

If there is a chance to continue No More Heroes, I am interested in making NMH3. I personally think that NMH is a game for Wii, so I would be very happy if I could make a game for the Wii’s successor, whenever that might be. I was not involved in the production of the 360 version of NMH1, so I don’t know anything about that.

yeah Suda51 has pledged the continuation of the franchise on Nintendo consoles a few times. Before the 360 version of 1 was announced he was suggestive about it being solely on Nintendo consoles(future ones too). But seeing as he's not even involved in the ports it looks like that he personally will be working only on Nintendo's consoles with this franchise. He always raved about how he loved Travis touchdown as a character so i'm not surprised of news about NMH3, this will be a long running franchise.
