Video: Koji Kondo on making the classic Mario theme

Koji Kondo reveals inspirations...
Koji Kondo has been talking about composing the classic Mario theme tune on the UK Nintendo channel. He also revealed that his musical inspirations are latin, jazz and pop. He didn't say where he stands on the Rage Against the Machine Vs X-Factor debate...

"I wrote the original Mario music by watching and actually playing Super Mario Bros. while it was being made, getting a mental picture for it from the rhythm and atmosphere of the game," he said. "When I wrote it, I never thought that it would become known by so many people." Watch the full interview below...
