PixelJunk Shooter sequel looky-likey

"We still have a ton of ideas on the drawing board," says Q Games
Q-Games boss Dylan Cuthbert has all but gone right out and said there'll be more content for the latest game in the Pixel Junk series.

Pixel Junk Shooter is the latest in the popular PSN series (we love 'em) and it looks like there'll be more, maybe even a proper sequel.

Speaking to G4 about how some gamers expressed disappointment over the way the game ends on a cliffhanger, suggesting a sequel or DLC is coming soon, Cuthbert said, "...the ending is tongue in cheek (as is the whole game with the cheesy b-movie storyline, etc.). Even if we weren't going to make a sequel we would have put that in -- as you know, it's a surprising and funny ending."

'Even if we weren't going to make a sequel'? There's a big clue right there. But there's more.

When asked outright about more, the boss said, "Normally sequels are just a re-hashing of the ideas in the original, but for PixelJunk Shooter we still have a ton of ideas on the drawing board and the engine has lots of potential we want to use before moving onto our next idea. It would be a waste not to use it to try out more stuff."

It's on, wouldn't you say?

Its a great game, so any more content for it would be very welcome!

Too right they'd better come up with more. PJ Shooter was brilliant! My and my flat mate played through the whole thing in what felt like 5 minutes, so more of that would really be appreciated. The three zones simply wasn't enough!

And I nearly didn't buy it too! PJ Racer was awful and the tower defense one (what ever it was called) was average.

Shooter is f**king fantastic though.
