It's been quite the week for CVG reader comments, with Sony delays, official reviews and even jiggly boobs drawing wrath, affection and giggles. Plenty of giggles.
Here are our favourites from the last seven days...
"Somebody give them a job lot of Pledge so they can get the polishing done ASAP " captain savaloy responds sceptically to Yamauchi's claim that there's just 10% of polishing to go on the perennially delayed PS3 racer
"90%, eh? If my maths is correct (5 years development, so 1 year is 20%), that means another 6 months of development for GT5. That means July/August. Hot dog. Hot dog. Hot diggetty dog." Mark240473 does the GT5 maths
"Despite being reviewed by an official mag, it's still good to read a review. Especially as there's still time to cancel my pre-order " microhenry clearly believes the myth of the official review
"Think OPM is quite good as with regards to reviewing first parties. They did KZ2 no favours." VOR dispels the myth of the 'official' review
"...Then how come blow up sheep are on list of acomplishments on xbox live??" HITMANBAZZA posits a whole new level for Xbox Achievements
"May God strike me down now if this game is not going to be incredible.... Nope!? roll on March then!" jamie1 tempts higher powers with his love for God of War III
"I think I pooped a little..." While all liquidsoap89 needs is a change of underwear at the prospect of Kratos' arrival
"I really hope they do enter the console market in one way or another; even if it's not a machine for the hardcore gamer it'll be better for the consumer in general. With their habit of forward thinking and innovation it'll improve the next Gen of consoles no end if apple throws a load of good ideas around to pilot." Mark Hayhurst welcomes the possible arrival of Apple into gaming
"Apple fanboys will buy anything that Apple bring out, not matter how pointless." leefear1 takes a bite out of Apple's gaming prospects
"A convoluted story with unnecessary twists, a small girl with purple hair and poached egg eyes, a dog smoking a pipe and a woman with breasts you can ski down."FiltyMonkey gets to the heart of Japanese games design
"You gotta love jiggly videogame titties. you just have to. its immature, pointless and absolutely fantastic. and realistic... you show me one woman who doesnt "bounce" while shooting massive aliens whilst clad in a bikini. with chains." PCE Deadmeat has an interesting definition of 'realistic'
"Didn't they say they were scaling back on Wii and DS development as they were finding it hard to turn a profit? Surely that means this is a bit of a surprise to them..." placid ca5ual calls out Ubisoft marketing director Murray Pannell
"This is promising news for that Cash In The Attic title i've been hoping for..." Triffic keeps his fingers crossed for what will surely be the action game of the year
Carl Icahn has a reputation for doing this sort of thing. Some see him as a financial genius and savior of some companies because he forces an issue that either sees the company in question broken up and sold for profit, or sees it undergo radical structural changes that sometimes sees a company gain market share. Others simply see him as an opportunist and a bully. Guess time will tell whether Icahn's trio manage to do a better job, not with standing the X factors of luck and timing. The_KFD_case Shows off some mean Wall Street-style knowledge of gaming's big wigs
Maybe theres something wrong with me but I want it to be a little gorier! Don't get me wrong, I dont want blood everywhere but a bit of splatter would add to the action surely? Mmmyeah wants blood!
I remember when CVG used to print comments from the website in the mag. Not sure if they still do but I had a couple printed before (this is going back years though).
