"Fallout: New Vegas, the follow-up to Fallout 3 - the 2008 Game of the Year - brings this beloved franchise to a location only Fallout could do justice: Vegas. Fallout: New Vegas takes all the action, humor, and post-apocalyptic grime and grit of this legendary series, and raises the stakes," reads the official blurb.
The Obsidian-developed spin-off has just been picked up by Namco Bandai for most of Europe (but not the UK).
Fallout: New Vegas will be featured in magazine cover stories around the world this month, the publisher adds, one of which will be Official Xbox Magazine UK, on sale February 11.
Look for all the details from those as it arrives, right here on CVG.
Its pretty much a conceptual copy of that first fallout 3 trailer, its much too early to judge from so little but it does look promising and not just fallout 3 in vegas like I thought it was going to be.
Looks like it could be incredible, Vegas could see such a rich setting. My brain is telling me not to get too excited though, as it isn't the same team as Fallout 3. Hope for the best I guess.
Was that Ron Perlman who provided the closing narration? I hope so; it just isn't a proper Fallout without him.
Obsidian always seem to make inferior sequels Knights of the Old Republic 2/Neverwinter Nights 2 anyone? and are usually buggy.
But hey, lets be optimistic now...
I disagree entirely. If KoTOR 2 had a proper ending (which, thanks to the fans, it now does) it would have kicked the original's exhaust vent. NWN2 is superior to the horrible first game in so many ways (plot, character development, gameplay, graphics) it isn't even funny.

MadNath619, someone on one of the other sites (Kotaku?) found that there was an A7 on the back of his uniform. Someone else then dug deeper and found some old government budget documentation for nuclear cleanup facilities from the 1960s that had the designation of 'A7'.
And considering it looks like he has a Pip-Boy, I'm thinking that's the protagonist we see there next to the flag.

It's not A7. There's an A on the back of his coat and a 7 on his helmet. He's standing beside the flag of California Republic. He could be part of an invasion force, or he could be a member of the Western BoS. It would be interesting to see what happens when the two BoS factions meet.
It's more than likely though an invasion by the NCR and the return of President Tandi.
