Days Of Thunder, the upcoming PC, PS3 and 360 arcade racing title, is actually inspired by the Tom Cruise movie that was released before some of us were even born (Andy).
You can find the first shots below and expect all the usual racing game modes such as quick race, time trial, career and derby with multiplayer stock car racing for 12 players online.
The list of key features even notes Days Of Thunder has SixAxis support. We've got mixed feelings about trying to cash in on a movie that's older than its target audience. What do you think readers?
These screens are a revelation. And what a coup for the developer, whoever the hell it is, for winning the bidding war and securing this fantastic license. This is now my most anticipated game.

I believe this is what we in the trade call "sarcasm".
Yeah - I had that - I only managed to get into a race once - the problem without having manuals telling you what to do I guess!!
Qualifying was amusing though.
C.
I had it as part of the Screen Gems pack for my Amiga. With Nightbreed the interactive movie, Back to the Future 2 and Shadow of the Beast 2. (I know, it isn't a film, go figure! )
I think they need to work on the graphics a lot though. Hopefully it is very early screens. If they make it like Daytona USA it could be a replacememt because sega are too damn stupid to do a proper version for consoles. It would seell like hot cakes.
this cant be real -this has got to be crap- namco bandai losing 600 staff and another company producing this -bizarre world i guess some xbox 360 owners might buy it--not startin!!
