Command and Conquer 4 screens

5 shots for your scrutiny
EA have released screenshots for the online only Command and Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight, after the open beta went live yesterday.

In case you haven't heard, in a break from the classic Command & Conquer engine Tiberian Twilight doesn't revolve around hording resources and obliterating the enemy. Instead players have to capture nodes around the map and hold them for as long as possible.

It's a move that has caused some controversy. Visually speaking, however, this latest instalment appears to promise the flashy sci-fi shootery war mongers have come to expect from the series.

Let us know what you've been up to in the beta, please?

There will be a SP campaign but you'll have to be on-line when playing it.

Robots! Mechs! Exotic NOD designs!
Can't praise much of the design though. Some of it looks fairly implausible. And the iconic Obelisk of Light carries no sense of menace whatsoever.
