Aliens vs Predator Classic gets multiplayer

As promised Rebellion has released a patch for the well-cheap original Aliens vs Predator that adds full multiplayer support.

Here's what Steam has to say:

Integrated with Steam Overlay
Uses Steam name
Host/Join games via bare-bones in-game lobby browser
Can invite and join friends and others via the Steam overlay
Game attempts host migration
Dedicated servers are not supported or planned

Does the inclusion of multiplayer pull you in or are you holding out for the all new AVP?

I haven't played the original before, so this was a good oppurtunity to try it out before the new one, the inclsuion of multiplayer is a good addition.

The original was awesome. The sequel was awesomer. The tripresequel will be TRIAWESOMER. Yes I just made up words to indicate how awesome I hope the new AVP will be.

I wonder if they'll release this on PSN or Live the way Call of Duty Classic was released, would sell well and the franchise hasn't touched consoles since AVP on Jaguar (well, there was also that awful RTS)

This is the best example of a re-release ive seen on steam and rebellion should be commended for it. I haven't had a chance to take it online yet but hope to rope a few mates in this wkend.
By the way, facehuggers have made me scream like a little girl a couple of times Embarassed
