Wii owners have just three days left to download the WiiWare demos currently available on the console.
If you turned on your console this morning you may have noticed this message from Nintendo: "Now's your final chance to try some of WiiWare's finest for free. Download the following WiiWare game demos for free via the Wii Shop Channel before the offer expires on 31 January."
So if you want to download a demo for Final Fantasy: My Life As A Dark Lord, Bit Trip Beat, Nyx Quest, World Of Goo or Pokémon Rumble, you've got until Sunday to do so.
As ONM reports, these demos have actually been available for longer than originally intended.
Does this mean the end for WiiWare demos entirely? We've contacted Nintendo to find out.
Judging by how popular these demos have been, it would make sense for Nintendo to have a separate 'demo' category. Maybe they could also move the DS demos here too, instead of them being obscurely hid within the Nintendo Channel.
I really enjoyed World of Goo (knew I would after reading all the reviews) but it wasn't until I was playing the demo that my wife became interested. She went on to complete the demo and we purchased the full game.
I'd like to see demos of LostWinds, Bomberman, LIT, Strong Bad, Tales of Monkey Island, Toki Tori, Wild West GUns etc.
unless its an insanely good game, like modern warfare 2, i pretty much never buy a game without playing it first. which is why i havent bought a wii game since launch, and i now have 4 times as many 360 games as wii ones even though ive only had a 360 a year.
demos are the single best advert for a game when it comes to your pre-existing market.
