After a few weeks without a retro release, Wii owners will be able to download Street Fighter Alpha 2 tomorrow.
The 1996 SNES game is a sequel to Street Fighter Alpha: Warriors 2. It introduced Rolento from Final Fight to the roster while all-new character Sakura also made her debut.
They were joined by Bison, Akuma and Dan who were hidden characters in Street Fighter Alpha.
Like all SNES games, Street Fighter Alpha 2 should set you back 800 Wii Points. It will be joined in the Wii store by two more Electroplankton titles for DSiWare and WiiWare RPG Legends Of Exidia.
Wheres Tales Of Monkey Island Chapter 5? Aparently the Wii version has been shafted by Nintendo to a Q1 2010 release instead of January. Good job Nintendo!

Somebodies obviously not that familiar with street fighter as alpha 2 isn't a variant of street fighter 2 but part of the alpha series.
Why are some morons thinking this is Nintendo's fault its Capcom who should be blamed. Nintendo just give the go ahead to say it can be on the virtual console.

Nobody in this thread has mentioned Nintendo in connection with the Alpha 2 release. Oh, except you.
Street Fighter Alpha 2 on the SNES was one of the most technically impressive games for it! Remember its for the Virtual Console! If they were going to do a Wii Ware game, I think a version of Street Fighter IV would be the way to go, don't you think?
its good to release games like starting from part 1 etc cuzz they will sell loads regardless and are oviously very popular xbla, psn,vc they are very very popular...
