I've been looking forward to this for a while. Racing/battle games are few and far between and this should handle well, although it'll be more arcadey than PGR/MSR.
I've been playing Mario Kart online quite a bit recently, and if they put the equivalent of blue shells in this, and screw you over with them in the same way as they do in MK, it would make me reconsider actually buying it.
Half a lap ahead and three blueys in about 20 seconds and end up finishing 6th or 7th? No thanks!
I sort of liked the occasional unfairness of Mario Kart online. Apart from the blue shells it's fair anyway, but even getting robbed by them now and again evens itself out over time. I reckon overall the game is deceptively well-balanced.
Anyway, I've been looking forward to Blur since it was announced too. I really hope it turns out great and I'm looking forward to the demo.

That's what I really dislike about Mario Kart. There appears to be absolutely no reward for driving skill because they game will always try and level the playing field. Stupid Nintendo catering for stupid kids!
I would imagine this won't be like that, though. I do hope not otherwise I may also consider not buying it.
