Ubisoft's FIFA/PES rival is "rumour"

Publisher declines to comment on footy game
Ubisoft has declined to comment on a report claiming that it's working on a FIFA and Pro Evo footy rival, calling the claim simply a "rumour".

Yesterday a reliable French source reported that Ubisoft is working with "several English clubs" including Liverpool and Steven Gerrard to make its footy game, which it supposedly sees as a 'direct attack' on genre titans FIFA and PES.

But an Ubisoft spokesperson told CVG, "sorry, but we're not commenting on rumours."

We still hope it's happening. The footy genre is long due a shake up and increased competition will only make current sports games even better.

Heh, Maybe they'll have football and goalposts as paid DLC. Untill then we'll have to use piled up schoolbags and a tennisball, I imagine thats the football equivelant of removing chapters from the game.
