Nintendo has narrowed down the release of Metroid: Other M to summer this year in Japan.
Confirmation comes in a vague 2010 release schedule from Nintendo (via Andriasang) following all the financial gubbins yesterday. It doesn't give away much else though.

But Super Mario Galaxy 2 and The Legend of Zelda are both in there and that's the important thing. It's going to be a decent year for hardcore Nintendo fans, we reckon.
Right so I expect it over here this year as well then, I mean Japan don't even like Metroid.
Japan doesn't like the Metroid Prime games because they're in first-person perspective, as far as I know they like the old school 3rd-person/side-scrolling Metroid, which this is akin too.
It will probably come here a few months later after the Japan release, I doubt Europe will see all 3 major games in 2010, at least one of them will be released next year, I'd put money on it.
I don't think even the 2D Metroid games fared that well in Japan (their loss), but this might turn things around. I can't wait for it....
Yeah, we got Wii Fit before the Americans. Plus came a few weeks after and Mario was five days later than them, but before the Japanese. All Nintendo releases seems to be well within each other's launches with only Smash Bros Brawl being the exception.
I reckon we'll get this around September time, if not late August
