Fallout: New Vegas nabbed by Namco

Namco Bandai to publish RPG in Europe, Australia
Obsidian's Fallout: New Vegas will be published by Namco Bandai in Europe, Australia and other territories, the company's announced.

Bethesda says it's to "partner" with Namco Bandai to distribute the new Fallout in France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Benelux, Nordic, Australia and New-Zealand.

The game's due out on PC, 360 and PS3 this year, but we still don't know anything about it.

"We are pleased to be teaming up with Namco Bandai Partners to distribute one of our flagship titles. Fallout: New Vegas builds upon the immersive gaming experience that made Fallout 3 the 2008 Game of the Year. We are extremely happy to be able to offer Fallout fanswith another premium gaming experience", said Sean Brennan, MD of Bethesda parent, Zenimax.

"Namco Bandai Partners have a terrific European distribution network and this partnership will help establish Fallout: New Vegas as one of the premier games of 2010".

I loved (still loving infact) Fallout3 - but I didn't love it crashing all the time - Seriously hope they fix these issues.

CVG-i noticed that in your Europe and Australia listings there is no UK,are we to assume that it will still be solely Bethesda here?

i am looking forward to this game

Fallout 3 one of my fav's of all time, up there with Trials HD, totally different games though! One thing though, pls pls pls pls pls DO NOT release this without checking and re-checking screen freezing issues. I first playing F3 on PS3 and the game's brilliance was very nearly ruined for me by the appalling screen freezes, still apparent after patches. I had similar problems with PC version. Finally got Xbox GOTY version and have had only one screen freeze and many sleepless nights enjoying the game. High hopes for New Vegas.

PS3...

I rented the "standard" version for a few months before GOTY came out - played it - and had it crash a few times...

Bought the GOTY version and it crashes more often...

Annoyingly too - I am unable to create any new save games now too... - I seem to have reached a limit of sorts - not sure why - it's a 320Gig HDD with 250+ gig free!!!

Lame.

"thankfully im not into all that fantasy crap."

Uh, I'm sure team-building games are...fun?
newsinthefield on 29 Jan '10
Uh... Fallout is post-apocalyptic retro-futuristic sci-fi, not fantasy.
