Mass Effect 3 release date in Late 2011?

BioWare says to expect "same kind of time frame" with third game
BioWare has discussed its plans for Mass Effect 3, suggesting that the third game could come out in Late 2011 or Early 2010.

Speaking in an interview with MTV, series director Casey Hudson said BioWare plans to "blend" finishing Mass Effect 2's DLC into finishing the third game.

"We're already working on 'Mass Effect 3' right now. We do want to develop it in concert with listening to the way people are experiencing 'Mass Effect 2'," he said.

"We don't want to take forever with it. We want people to be able to conclude this trilogy that have been with us over the years... [Development will be] along the same kind of time frame as 'Mass Effect 2'."

Given that the gap between the original Mass Effect and its sequel was just over two years, Hudson's comments suggest we could see the third game as early as the end of next year or early 2012.

Mass Effect 2 is out in Europe next Friday. Magazine reviews are already in and you should expect to see ours online early next week.
