According to Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez, the PlayStation console is nothing short of a "poison" that leads our kids down the capitalist "road to hell".
The Venezuelan boss took on Sony in his weekly radio-TV show Alo Presidente and called on local manufacturers to make educational toys and dolls with indigenous peoples' features to replace capitalistic counterparts like the Barbie doll that "have nothing to do with our culture," reports YahooNews.
He's already taken a pop at family-friendly Nintendo for promoting "selfishness, individualism and violence," but it looks like Sony is next. Xbox can't be far behind.
"Those games they call 'PlayStation' are poison. Some games teach you to kill. They once put my face on a game, 'you've got to find Chavez to kill him.'" Apparently any game that games that "bomb cities or just throw bombs," are sold by capitalist countries to sow violence so they can "later sell weapons."
They're also said to "promote the need for cigarettes, drugs and alcohol so they can sell them. That's capitalism, the road to hell," he added.

During his weekly Sunday broadcast, Mr Chavez replied with a warning to Ms Rice:
