SSSSSSSSSwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeetttaaa!!

After some initial reservations Im startin to count the days now. I really hope the single player Lives up to the expectations, outside of Dragon age, Fallout 3 and maybe Arkham asylum, I cant remember the last time since Bio shock that I got truly immersed in a good old fashioned fps/tps story driven romp...

happy days Very Happy

I'm liking the more varied styles of the enemies/splicers... As long as the single player can match up to the first game's, this should be up there with ME:2 for GotY. Bioshock was so immersive, one of the greatest pieces of storytelling of this generation. Just hope the lack of Levine and 2K Boston/Irrational doesn't take anything away from it.

I don't know why but I've not seen anything so far that's made me particularly interested in this, which is a shame as I loved the first one. Even the screenshots don't look that great - is this the PC version they're showing? I'll look out for the reviews and hope I'm wrong but otherwise probably won't be picking it up. Anyone else feel the same way?

Looks beautiful! Too bad I'll likely pass this one over just like I passed over it's predecessor thanks to Take2's boneheaded insistence on DRM and limited activations. Re-activation tools or not, that's not something any paying customer should have to deal with especially when it still fails to stop piracy. A shame... Sad

P.S. Since it's a FPS game, and since I believe FPS games should be played on the PC due to superior controls, I do not want to buy the console version.

I'm with you MrStillwater.

Absolutely adored the first game, still one of my favourites of this generation, but this one... Let's just say Bioshock is one of the few games I felt didn't need a sequel. It was so beautifully crafted, it deserved to be left alone as an example of true video game greatness, a story intricately told and a world expertly realised.

It seems to be following the normal sequel formula of more, more, more. More splicers, more plasmids, more Big Daddies, more ruin. Oh, and multiplayer Rolling Eyes

I just have a feeling that it will struggle to deliver on the level the original did. Those are huge shoes to fill, and anything less than the equal of Bioshock will be a failure to validate it's existence.

That said, if they do pull it off... Well I'll be first in line for a copy.

Am really looking forward to this, but it doesn't half look a LOT like the last game. That's not necessarily a bad thing, of course, but it's not exactly Uncharted 2, blow-you-mind beautiful.

Still, good times ahead.

It looks far too much like the first game for me to get excited about, visually at least.

I guess they wouldn't want to change it too much as it would not feel like Rapture anymore(maybe). One of the pitfalls of having the sequel in the same location, I guess. Depending on your point of view.

The screenshots don't get me excited really either. It was the story that got me hooked in the first one. I have tried to keep away from anything Bioshock 2 to know too much about what's going on in this one. I like surprises Smile
