About Me
My name is Wayne. I am a 46 y.o self taught musician and have been home recording since the Spring of 2007. I've played the bass and acoustic guitar for about 26 years and wrote my first song the day I picked up the acoustic.
I've been in various forms of the same band for 18 or so years until recently. We played punk/alt/folk orininals and covers and did the GB band for a few years, doing weddings, functions and playing songs "on the spot" sometimes by pulling out the sheet music and going for it. This could explain why I am a "push the record button and see what gets put down" kind of music producer.
I've been playing mandolin and electric guitars since I started recording in 2007. I'm recording using Cool Edit Pro II with MS Vista 64 bit as my OS and it's fair to say it's a bit challanging with some compatibility issues. Update: Just bought Adobe Audition 3.
All my songs are recorded as they are written, usually in one afternoon and mixed over the course of a few days. None of my songs are mastered, I don't have any mastering software. In 2008, I recorded 65 songs in a nine month time frame and 13 song in the month of August alone. I just love recording music, all kinds of music.
Lately I've been itchin' to get into recording with loops which brought me to Looperman!

Instruments I play
I play a Jaco Pastorius 1962 reissue Fender Jazz bass guitar, this guitar is simply the best instrument I've ever played! I play it through a Fender BXR 200. I also own a Fender BXR 400, the rig I gigged out with for years.
I play an Ovation Acoustic Bass Guitar, my backup.
Bought a new Epiphone Riviera P93 semi hollow bodied guitar and got it Nov.12, 'o9!!!!
I play a Fender Strat electric guitar, Johnson mandolin, classical and acoustic guitar and various percussion instruments like the cabasa, clave, guiro, coctail shaker, tambo... |
Software I Use
Just purchased Adobe Audition 3 and after some tech support help I'm finally using it(Nov. 26, 2009).
Cool Edit Pro II
Had FL Studio 8 Demo for a while |
Hardware I Use
Boss Dr. Rhythm DR-3 drum machine. I use this to program my drum tracks. I also use it for some percussion instruments. I sometimes play the pads to play bongo tracks, cymball tracks and even the entire drum track, each instrument(kick, snare, hihat...)recorded on a seperate track. |

Folk mixed with punk with some pop influences with some latin rhythms and a bit of surf and some gypsy thrown in. Some tracks have been described as "Spaghetti Western" here. |
