New Super Mario Bros. Wii flew off shelves, with almost 3 million copies snapped up by retro-hungry gamers (see Nintendo? Gamers love it. More please!).

Selling only marginally less, Wii Fit Plus secured second spot for Nintendo, with Wii Sports Resort in third. Suddenly Modern Warfare 2's 1.63 million sales doesn't seem too impressive down there in fourth.

Not being funny, but why do we keep getting flooded with info on U.S console & software sales all the time, and not the U.K sales?
Still I'm happy to see a old fashioned 2D style game at the top of the sales charts, it shows that good old gameplay is still key to a great game, and no I don't think it would have been better in HD
Well if Mario Kart is still selling like that, good enough to be in the top ten charts and all, then I wouldn't doubt what he said, and that came out around April/May 2008, NSMBW only came out 2 months ago.
