Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY edition incoming?

Looks like Eidos and Rocksteady Studios are planning to celebrate the success of Batman: Arkham Asylum with a Game Of The Year edition if the BBFC's rating site is anything to go by (which it is).

The BBFC listing (via Joystiq) says, "This work was passed with no cuts made," (it got a 15 by the way) but gave no indication as to what the GOTY contents may be.

You've got to think that the final package will include the original game and all the DLC though. but we'll have to wait for Eidos to announce its existence first.

Quick question. Does a game have to be awarded GOTY to have a GOTY edition?

It would seem not judging by the Left 4 Dead and Gears of War 2 GOTY editions.

I bet there's alot of publications that give out a game of the year award. And being a great game it probably has won one somewhere.

There are different categories for GOTY. Left 4 Dead got best co-op or multiplayer of the year etc. Batman probably got best action. And then of course theres THE GOTY award.
