Broken Sword Director's Cut coming to iPhone

"Significant update to one of the most popular adventures ever," says dev
Revolution Software has confirmed that Broken Sword: The Director's Cut will hit the app Store for iPhone and iPod touch later this month.

Pulling no punches, the studio gushes, "The game, a significant update to one of the most popular adventures ever written, will be available from the App Store within a month."

The latest version features around 20 percent more content then seen in other versions. "The game represents a significant investment from Revolution Software. The interface has been entirely redesigned for the touchscreen devices.

"Utilising an improved version of the control mechanism premiered in Beneath a Steel Sky - Remastered, it is effortless to play, allowing players to concentrate on the award-winning narrative and puzzles which have made it such an enduring adventure."

What's your take on iPhone gaming. Getting into it or will you keep it 'real'?

awesome news! i check the app store week in week out for broken sword and always wondered why nobody had ever bothered but this is great news, as long as its easy to control then i will definately be getting this.

Gaming on the iphone/ipod is a real treat for the price but only when the controls are done right. otherwise it can be a complete waste of money.

Currently enjoying ronnie o'sullivans snooker game on the iphone....awesome game.

Normally I wouldn't touch a 'proper' game on the ipod if I was paid to, as the akward control scheme always destroys the experience, but a relaxed slow burning game like broken sword could actually work pretty well on it. I'll be keeping an eye on this.
