Heavy Rain release date outed for US

PS3 exclusive thriller, Heavy Rain will be released in North America on February 23, the latest issue of PSN digi-mag, Qore has confirmed.

CVG revealed earlier this week that the European Heavy Rain release date has been nailed for later, on February 26.

The ambitious Quantic Dream effort has been rated 15 in Blighty, because according to the BBFC it contains "strong language, violence and sex." Good news.

I'm waiting for a few reviews before I pre-order.

When will your review be available to read, CVG?

The preview was a good read, but it was difficult to get a gist of the game through a preview alone.

This is a day one purchace for me, and if the USA release is much earlier than the PAl release then I'll be importing this.

Why 26th instead of 29th? We live in England where games are released on Fridays, not Tuesdays like in America Confused

Still personally probably better for me that it's released during the week than the weekend...

Errr the 26th is a Friday. If they were going to release it on the 29th they'd have to wait a while as it's not a leap year until 2012

February 26th...now that's a date I need write down on my calender.

After just playing through and completing Fahrenheit on the 360- all I can ask is... was it?

Interesting, yes. Amazing- no. Infact I'd forgotten how bad some of the motion capture is- from the 'sex scenes' to the hilarious Dragon Ball Z fight near the end. Heavy Rain looks a lot more polished so hopefully won't descend into pure naffness. I'll need to read some reviews before I buy it though I think.
