Good, the mystery surrounding how this Game will actually play out will be revealed very soon then.
Heavy Rain, Alan Wake and Mass Effect 2 are 3 of my top titles coming this year, the fact that they are all mature, story driven Games is just a coincidence, eh?
Are you listening Devs? The Gamers who grew up on the C64, NES's and Atari's are now grown up mature (well sometimes ) Gamers. I hope this Game and the others mentioned could be a shift in the type of Games we can expect in the future.
Damn. I'm pretty sure Splinter Cell comes out then as well, now I have to decide which to get day one...
Splinter Cell just edges it at the moment, as I've been more impressed by what I've seen and heard. I'll wait for the reviews before I make my final choice though.

Speak for yourself Mr. Cold. I'm actually very immature thank you very much. I only want this for the shower drying off scene.
I had a pretty good idea that it would be released around that time.
All we can do now is sit back and wait for the reviews to come in, which can't be too far off now.
Come to think of it, I'm surprised that we haven't seen any Mass Effect 2 reviews yet as that comes out the end of this month. Saying that, I feel more confident that ME2 will fare very well with reviews as we know what to expect, really.
How Heavy Rain will be received by the critics is anybody's guess.
I am slowly getting excited for Heavy Rain now after being initially indifferent to it. Personally I'm hoping it is written more like a book than a film. So it's narrative is slower but extremely tense like The Wire.
I'm also really looking forward to Alan Wake which I expect to be fairly action packed.
This is going to be one hell of a first quarter for games. However I think that because so many Publishers pushed the release dates back to dodge MW2 they're now releasing their title at an even more competitive time.
Talking of the Unreal Engine did you here you can download the SDK for free. CVG should really have done an article on it because it's massive news for amateur developers.

glad it's released 2 weeks after bioshock 2. can have some quality time with both, then the godly GOW3 comes in after the dust has settled ;D ahhh good times.
Day one purchase for me, looks like an amazing game. This and GOW3 are the 2 games I'm definitely getting this quarter. If only I had something to hold me over until then - don't like the look of MAG, bayonetta or kratos' inferno/dante of war
Who cares what the critics say? I'm pretty sure these guys don't actually play the games themselves, they all probably just watch someone play it, not the same as movie critics. This game will get the once over from me to see if it's worth it. Looks interesting, but who knows how it plays out. Time will tell all.
360 has Halo, Dante, Bayonetta, and possibly gears 3...
PS3 has GoW III & heavy rain
Wii has zelda
DS has Pokemon
PC has nothing yt....
What you on about? PC has nothing? You heard of a lil game called StarCraft 2? And what about the much anticipated expansion pack for the most popular mmo? Also both Dante and Bayonetta are multi-platform games and the fact that you buy all multi-platform games on the Xbox 360 doesn't mean s**t.
Besides as someone else mentioned Gears of War 3 won't be out until Unreal Engine 4 which will probably make it a launch title for the next xbox.
Demon's Souls cost me £43.98 all in from here. http://www.movietyme.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=46260 It arrived in about 5 days. I played it for 1 and didn't get on with it and sold it for £50 on ebay the day after. Bring on Heavy Rain!
got demon souls for xmas. Haven't put it down since. I could see how its very much i love it or loathe it game though.
I think I'm gonig to have to pick up this game soon then, can't go on any gaming site without people saying how good it is, I can't argue against the whole net, and thankfully my local game shop has kindly imported it in themselves.
On topic, I can't wait for Heavy Rain, roll on Feb.
Franchises, mcdonalds gm for non core gamers like Un2 and Singscream titles, not to mdntion Dragonbrain...er age, I mdan what happened with that mess of a gm? DS is the type of title you will love or loath(dont laugh, I must have hit the old codger whom fixes weaps for us in the nexus, when I put my controller down. He wont stop following me around a a-golluming at me trying to stab me). That my point the gm makes no apologies for error. I'm glad I got the deluxe version with the gm walkthrough. Heavy Rain is another title Im waiting for. BTW Darksiders rocks love it
