Durin's Way fly-through movie inside
Codies has released a new Durin's Way video and batch of screens for Turbine's Lord of the Rings Online expansion pack, Mines of Moria.

In stores on November 18, "Mines of Moria expands the online world of Middle-earth to let players explore the ancient underground cities of the dwarves, battle epic characters in the depths, face off with the Watcher, be a part of the fateful release of Durin's Bane, and more."

"Graphics suck big time"
What an extraordinarily redundant statement!
The whole point of an MMO is that it creates a large user base for both profit and to bulid a large community around the game. The only way to do this is to ensure as many people as possible can play it, as such it is tailored to as many PC's as possible low-mid-and high range are all catered for.
If Turbine or any other publisher for that matter simply went the route of making the most graphically impressive MM0 imaginable, I would guess they would only have about 10-20% of PC's which could run their game. (and what percentage of those gamers would play an MMO regularly enough for the publisher to see a return on their investment?).
Rivariad I'm sure if you played the game you would concede the art direction is impressive and in future you may think a moment before firing off unhelpful, pedantic comments which offer more insights about your intellegence than the game's graphical fidelity! :)

besides, the graphical quality really isnt conveyed within these short video's, had you seen the great lake (evendim?) with all the graphical settings on max, im sure your statement would be other than the misinformed aside that it is.

... maybe the lake is pretty. But these screens DO show sucky graphics.

I blame the work experience screenshot guy!

It's the design that sucks, not the graphics technicalities (although they aren't great either).

What's with the cartoonish garish colorful Moria?

It should be dark and dreary and spooky.

Tolkien must be rolling over in his grave...
